Kind Hair Does Lauren London Wear

Atanasio Monroy at the Museum

Yesterday, visiting the virtual gallery of the National Museum of History of INAH, I found this portrait of Emiliano Zapata charro dress, painted by none other than the autlense (by adoption) Joseph Atanasio Monroy. Table Zapata is accompanied by an armed peasant, who sits beside the main character and giving back. In the background is a landscape that is below the position of the characters as if they were in a hill.

Judging by the stroke, this picture must have been done for the youth of the painter. In the lower right corner of the table shows the known signature of Mr. Atanasio, who was born today 102 years ago in the neighboring town of Ejutla.

To visit the virtual gallery, although not very easy to navigate does offer very good information, follow this link: http://www.inah.gob.mx/paseos/museonacional/ .

As soon as I contacted the museum staff to ask for more data in this table. Were of procuring, I hope so.
